Trellie Owens Arthur

Trellie Owens Arthur, 91, of Watkinsville, was freed from her weary body as she slept peacefully on the morning of April 18, 2023. Her faith in Jesus Christ became sight as she passed into His presence.

Born in Eastman, Georgia on August 31, 1931, to Austin and Mollie Pruett Owens, she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Horace Arthur; and her sister, Joanne Roach. A lifelong resident of Oconee County, she was the wellspring of life for five children; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and four great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way. She is survived by her children, Wanda Arthur of Watkinsville, Georgia; Beverly Barrett of Bishop, Georgia; Jeff Arthur of Brookhaven, Georgia; Gary Arthur of Bogart, Georgia; and Teresa Byrd (Bill) of Watkinsville, Georgia; and her sister Maureen Patton of Watkinsville, Georgia, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21 at Lord and Stephens, West Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Mike Pritchett officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder, Georgia where she will be laid to rest with her husband and parents. Pallbearers include Kevin Poe, Zach Daniell, William Reeves, Ethan Reeves, Ryan Griffin and Jonah Watson.
