Tracie Meyer

Athens - Tracie Kay Meyer, 53, died May 14, 2011. A native of Athens, she was a daughter of Lucy Martin Meyer and the late Bobby Meyer. She was a 1988 graduate of the University of Georgia, summa cum laude. Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Winterville Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Survivors in addition to her mother include her daughter, Kirsten Ariel Meyer; sisters, Kim Meyer and Lynn Meyer Morgan; long-time sidekick, Timmy Cantrell; nephew, Jeremy Serpa; niece, Larissa Serpa Sorrow; and cats, Simba and Nayla. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Lord & Stephens East, Athens, is in charge of arrangements.
