Tony Clinton Self

Tony Clinton Self, 44, of Athens, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 25th,. Heaven gained a beautiful soul, a son, a brother, a husband, a father, a comedian, an awesome friend and a man who loved his family unconditionally.
A native of Oconee County, Mr. Self was the son of the late Larry Wallace Self (Athens) and Alma and Richard Bolding (Watkinsville).
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 29th 4-7 p.m. at Lord and Stephens West, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville, Georgia. Service will follow 7-9 p.m. with Reverend Tim Hammond officiating. Graveside memorial, Friday September 30th at 11 a.m. at Oconee Memorial Park for family only.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife Sherri Self, three daughters Kelsey Wommack, Hanna and Shelby Self. Mother in-law and father in-law Kathie Vail and the late James Vail. A brother in-law, Steven Vail (and wife Jennifer). Two brothers, Ricky Self and Ray Self (and wife, Angie) and a sister, Tonya Self Wade. Six nieces: Brittany, Ashlynn, Demi, Grace, Emilee and Leah; two nephews: Ethan and Michael; and two great nieces: MaKenna and Gentry.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the College fund for Shelby Self, Payable to Shelby Self College Fund. They can mailed or taken to Oconee State Bank, PO BOX 205, Watkinsville, Georgia, 30677.
