Tony Golden

Tony R. Golden, 63, stockbroker, businessman and long-time resident of Fulton County, Georgia, passed away peacefully this week after having survived a stroke and heart attack nearly two years ago. Born October 31, 1953, to John Raymond Golden and Betty Jane West Fisher, Tony grew up in Ligonier, Indiana, attending both Ligonier and West Noble High Schools. Tony developed an early interest in golf, becoming an assistant professional at several northern Indiana courses. Eventually, he became a PGA teaching professional at courses in Antigua and Westchester County, New York. Ultimately, Tony decided to move into the securities profession, living many years in New York City before finally moving to Georgia, first in Roswell and then Johns Creek, where he became an active entrepreneur.

Survivors include his wife, DeAnn Blanton Golden and children, John Tyler Golden, Michael Ryan Golden, Grace Taylor Golden, and Wilson DeWitt Golden. He was dearly loved by both family and friends, all of whom will miss his sense of humor, his amazing culinary talents, and his caring heart of gold. Tony loved to take his family boating, fishing and golfing, and passed his love of those sports on to them. He especially loved playing golf with his children and friends.

Tony particularly wanted to make sure that all of his family and friends know how much he loved and appreciated them.

A memorial service will be a planned for later in the summer. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Stroke Association, or American Heart Association.
