Toby Patrick Bradberry, 51, of North High Shoals, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
Born in Athens, he was a son of Harry Bradberry and the late Elizabeth Whitehead Bradberry. Toby was a 1987 graduate of Oconee County High School and a 1998 graduate of the Grady College of Journalism at the University of Georgia. After starting, operating and selling his vending business, he moved to California for one year before relocating to the Research Triangle of North Carolina. Toby lived in North Carolina for ten years and while there, he worked as a copy editor for GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals and was a member of the Jaycees and Mensa. He returned home to North High Shoals in 2010. He published an e-book titled The Pocket Guide to Life: Junior High: For Guys in 2014 and was elected Mayor of North High Shoals in 2016 where he was presently serving. Toby was immensely proud of the new North High Shoals Town Hall and the installation of the North High Shoals Town Park. He was an integral part of his mother's care team during her extended illness, a companion/caregiver to his uncle until his passing in 2020 and a big help around the house to his Dad. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, his motorcycle and cigars.
Survivors in addition to his father include his siblings, Carla and Marty Sellars and Mitch and Melanie Bradberry; one nephew, Josh Bradberry; one niece, Jenna Bradberry; one aunt, Liz Bradberry and numerous cousins.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of Toby's freedom from the pain that had plagued him since he suffered a broken back at age 18, on Sunday, July 18, 2021 during the hours of 3 - 5 at the North High Shoals Town Hall, 260 Hillsboro Road, North High Shoals, GA 30645.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North High Shoals Park (North High Shoals Town Hall, 260 Hillsboro Road, North High Shoals, GA 30645).
