Mrs. Tiny H. Holder, aged 96, died on May 8, 2007 at the Dogwood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fairburn, GA.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ellis S. Hicks, originally of Crawford, GA; her second husband, George V. Holder of East Point, GA, both some years earlier.
Mrs. Holder was the former Tiny Hargrove, born in Crawford, GA, in Oglethorpe County and graduated from high school in Crawford. Her father and mother were Charles Bluford and Lilia Amason Hargrove, one of the older families of Oglethorpe County. She has lived in Atlanta and East Point since 1937. Mrs. Holder was a member of East Point United Methodist Church and East Point Avenue United Methodist Church in East Point. She was an earlier member of then Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church of Crawford.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 2PM at Crawford Cemetery with Rev. Herb Owen officiating; retired pastor of the Tuckston United Methodist Church of Athens. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at Oglethorpe Chapel, Crawford, GA.
Lord & Stephens Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.
