With a heavy heart, I write to let those of you who are unaware know that Tom passed away this past Wednesday. He had been hospitalized 5 days prior. His nurse was with him at the time of his death late that evening and said he was peaceful. His wit, intellect and especially his culinary gifts will be missed by all who knew him.

Peggy remains at Presbyterian Village in Athens where she is suffering from from Alzheimers. We will be moving her to Ohio where she will be close to family.

Tom’s wish was to be cremated and there are currently no formal services planned. Please honor his memory by cherishing the moments shared with this extraordinary man.
