Thomas Lee Powell

Thomas Lee Powell, age 78, of Carlton, went home to be with the Lord and his late wife, Delores Powell, on October 19, 2012.
Born on December 17, 1933, in Lyons, Thomas was the son of the late T.L. and Annie Hall Powell, and was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Thomas worked in the aerospace industry from 1955 until he retired from Lockheed at the Kennedy Space Center in 1997. He also served his country in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his children, Randy Powell, Darlene Farrell, Stephen T. Powell, Sandra Kois, and Kimberly Taylor; sister, Dean Hunter; eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 11, at Lord & Stephens East.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 12, at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Titusville, Fla., at a later date.
