Athens - Thomas C. Hallman, Jr., 81, died Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the St. Mary's Hospice House.
Mr. Hallman was born in Eatonton, GA and has been a resident of Athens of 47 years. He is the son of the late Thomas Cline Hallman, Sr. and Maybelle Simmons Hallman. T.C. was the owner/operator of Hallman's Texaco from 1963 to 1978 and Hallman's Garage from 1978 to 2007. He was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church. T.C. was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Nadine Doster Hallman; son and daughter in law: Tommy C. and Diane Hallman of Watkinsville; daughter and son in law: Kay and John Esco of Woodstock; grandchildren: Thom Hallman, Amy Bramlet, Natalie Gaydon, Travis Esco; great grandchildren: Jaden Hallman and Carson Gaydon; sisters: Florrie Jones and Nancy Hallman Brake and one brother: Harry Hallman.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 11, 2010 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Ray Finger officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be John Esco, Thom Hallman, Travis Esco, Steven Bramlet, Ken Wilbanks and Clayton Mealor. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Doster and Bill Ozburn.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the funeral home.
