Theresa Maria Mauragas

Theresa M. Mauragas, 94, of Bishop died Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Theresa was born in Straubing, Germany to the late Gotfried and Gertraud Klein. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Mauragas, and son Peter Mauragas. She is survived by her son Robert & Rebecca Mauragas, daughter-in-law Laurie Mauragas, brother Friedel Klein, grandchildren Melissa Condit (Lily and Emery), Mark & Joelle Mauragas (Brooklyn, Payton and Olivia), Elizabeth & Ron Gamble (Sam), Caitlin & Johnny Glisson (Jane and Charles), Sara & Ian McElroy (Liam and Sebastian) and Emily Mauragas.

Theresa was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She worked in the bank field for over 20 years, primarily with Wells Fargo. She started her life in the United States in New Jersey and was active with her church choir at Our Lady of Peace church in New Providence, NJ. She was active in the German-American community and belonged to the Union County, NJ and Delaware Saengerbund. She enjoyed traveling back to Germany to visit family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 15th at 9:00 A.M. At the UGA Catholic Center.
