Theresa Cash

Theresa Freeman Cash, 84, of Athens, GA passed away Thursday, May 11th, 2017.

A native of Ila, Theresa was the daughter of the late Gartrell and Mildred Lawson Freeman, and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years Frank Eugene Cash, daughter Beverly Cash Malo, and one sibling: Lawson Freeman.

Survivors include her brother, Pete Freeman (Kathleen), daughters, Delaine Brown (Charlie) of Martinez, Amy Carson (Johnny) of Athens; and grandchildren, Ashley Cook (Robbie), Alex Brown, Ryan Carson, and great-grandchild Nicholas Cook. Theresa graduated from Greensboro High School, Greensboro, NC and while living in Athens was an administrative assistant at Athens First Baptist Church and at Wilkins Industries. She was a member of Athens First Baptist Church, and her interests included her family, and playing bridge.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 16th at Lord and Stephens West Chapel with interment following at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM Monday, May 15th at Lord and Stephens West.
