Athens - Thelma Grace Williamson Murray, 82, passed away July 7, 2009.
Born in Jackson County on January 16, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Worthy L. and Alma Matthews Williamson and the widow of Elmer Lloyd Murray. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dewey Williamson and two sisters, Mary Wilda Dougherty and Ida Frances Baxter. She was a homemaker and a seamstress for many years.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include four children, Loriane Shelton of Nicholson, Cathe White of Athens, Pam (Ruff) Smith of Danielsville and E. Kenneth (Jean) Murray of Monroe; brother, Horace Williamson of Columbia, S.C.; sister-in-law, Margie Williamson of Nicholson; twelve grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
