Colbert, GA - Thelma Freeman Morris, 93, died February 2, 2012.
Born in Danielsville, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Pearl Long Freeman and was preceded in death by her husband, Allison Morris and grandson, Dennis McCarty. She was retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing and was a longtime member of Colbert First Baptist Church and Saints Alive Senior Group. Mrs. Morris will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend, as well as her love for her church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Alton McCarty and grandson, Chris McCarty.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 5, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Colbert First Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Colbert Cemetery. Mrs. Morris will lie in state from 1:30 until 2:00 PM.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 until 8) PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice House, 1660 Jennings Mill Road, Bogart, GA 30622.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
