Terry D. Gaines

Funeral services for Mr. Terry D. Gaines age 63 will be conducted Monday, October 14, 2024 at 2 PM in Williams Funeral Home Chapel, 1670 N. Jefferson St. Milledgeville, GA 31061 with Rev. Richard Hoard officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 12:30 until the funeral hour.

Mr. Gaines was a native of Elberton and had made his home in Watkinsville for 25 years before moving to Milledgeville. He was employed by the Athens Clarke County Police Department for 12 years and has been employed by Progressive Insurance Company for the past 25 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Isham Strawder Gaines and Dorothy Dye Gaines and a brother Timothy Gaines. He was a member of Elberton Masonic Lodge and a long time member of Watkinsville Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy Peavy Gaines; daughter, Caroline Gaines of Charlotte, N.C., Kerry Parmer of Aiken, S.C. and son, Matthew Thomas Gaines of Watkinsville; father and mother in law, Bobby and Juanita Peavy of Milledgeville. He is additionally survived by his two cherished pups, Annie and Oakley.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Shriners Childrens Hospital.
