Bogart - Teresa Taylor Long, 58, of Bogart, died December 20, 2006. Resa died of congestive heart failure and several other conditions related to smoking and diabetes. A native of Clarke County, she had lived in Oconee County for the last 43 years. Resa was the widow of the late Harry Long, and was the daughter of the late Hilda Baker Taylor Parrish and the late Hiowt C. Taylor. Resa worked at Barrow Mgf. Co. for a number of years until it closed. She loved her many friends there. She was an avid reader, she loved to play on her computer, she loved movies, and she loved her two boys (dogs), Jerry Lee and Elvis.
Teresa is survived by her stepfather, Joe E. Parrish, Sr., Bogart; her stepsister and brother-in law, Robbie (Parrish) and Leonard Myers, Watkinsville; stepbrother and sister-in-law, Joe Elder and Sharon Parrish, Newport News, Va.; sisters Linda Taylor and Gail Spratlin, Athens; two aunts, Mrs. Lillian Taylor and Mrs. Loretta Stamps; several cousins, nieces, and nephews; best friend, Mrs. Mae Faust.
The family requests that flowers be omitted, and that any contributions in memory of Teresa be made to either the Oconee County Animal Control or to the Oconee County Library.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 27. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 10:45 am. Graveside services at 11:00 am with Rev. Dan Fuller officiating at Evergreen Memorial Park. Lord and Stephens West are in charge of arrangements.
