Watkinsville, GA - Ted Vernon Anderson, 62, of Watson Springs Road, Watkinsville, passed away early Tuesday morning December 26, 2006 at his residence.
Native to Athens-Clarke County, the son of Hershel Vernon and Linnie Mae Watkins Anderson, he graduated from Athens High and served proudly in the Army Reserves. He worked at Certainteed, Lay Brothers Shell Oil Company, Winn-Dixie Market and BiLo/Southern Family Market for 19 years. Mr. Anderson attended Bethesda Baptist Church in Union Point and also Prince Avenue Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sherry Anderson; daughter, Diane Anderson-Simpson; two sons, Frank Anderson and Robby Anderson; one grandson, Hayden Simpson; son-in-law, Jeff Simpson; daughter-in-law, Kelly Anderson and her son, Dawson.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 30, 2006 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. No services are scheduled at this time.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
