Sybil P. Crowe

Sybil Paulette Crowe, cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 24, 2021, at the age of 80.

Born in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Paul Stephens and Geneva Sosebee Stephens. Mrs. Crowe previously worked as a Nursing Assistant at Hall County Hospital and the Athens City government. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and cooking, but most importantly, she will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. Mrs. Crowe was an avid Georgia Football fan and she was a member of New Holland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Christopher Browning.

Survivors include her husband, William L. “Bill” Crowe; three children, Mikki Spinks (Jack), Krisy Barber (Mike), and Kerry Shapiro (Stacy); her brother Doug Stephens (Deborah); her grandchildren, Misti Hughes (Woody), Mandi Kirk, Dillon Levy, Christopher Barber (Beth), Karli Prater (Logan), Evan Shapiro, and numerous great-grandchildren and family.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
