Hull - Susan Colson Mason, 52, died Sunday, November 13, 2005 at Athens Regional Medical Centers.
Born in Douglas, GA, she was the daughter of the late William Charles Colson and Elizabeth Newsome Colson of Hull. Susan was a 1971 graduate of Clarke Central High School. She retired as a Foreman from Athena Warehouse after 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Mason, daughters, Heather Sailors of Hull, Melissa (Brett) Self of Hull, sister, Blair (Billy) Hancock of Hull, brother, Carl M. (Debbie) Colson of Cameron, AZ, three grandchildren that called her ìNanny Rat,î Austin and Alyssa Sailors and Cody Self and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Lord & Stephens East Chapel at 3PM with Rev. Jim Haralson officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Entombment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Tom Morgan, Billy Knight, Randy Spence, Jack LeFebvre, Kevin King, Jr., Andy Ervin, and honorary pallbearers will be Kevin King, Sr., and David Hardman.
Flowers will be accepted.
