Susan Elizabeth Gray

Susan Elizabeth Gray, 69 of Athens, passed away June 6, 2016. She was the daughter of the late, Dr. Leroy C. and Katherine Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Robert Teasley. Mrs. Gray was a graduate from Hart County High School in 1965 and later graduated from Forrest College in 1967. She was from Elberton, where she lived for nearly 25 years. Susan was a church pianist and organist for most of her life. Susan played for Clarkesville Baptist Church, Reed Creek Baptist Church, Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, Eureka Baptist Church, Antioch Baptist Church, New Hinson Baptist Church, Bio Baptist Church and Liberty Congregationalist Church. She also worked for Bell Craft Manufacturing Company and Gips Manufacturing as a Sewing Machine Operator. She was a CNA at Hart Care Center and Spring Valley Nursing Home.
Memorial Services are Thursday 5:00pm June 9, 2016 at Lord & Stephens, West Chapel with Rev. Eric Buffington officiating. The family visit at the funeral home one hour prior to service.
Survivors include: Sons, Dr. Jason (Cynthia) Gray, Christopher (Abigail) Gray; daughter, Kathy (Robert) Wilson; brothers and sister, Leroy (Jeanette) Brown, Richard (Theresa) Brown and Janice (Neil) Crapse; Five Grandchildren, Three Great Grandchildren; former husband, Rev. Samuel Gray.
