Suni Baker, 77, loved by many, left this world for the Glory of Heaven on January 22, 2022. She was surrounded by her family as she transitioned from this life. Suni was born in Daegu, South Korea, and moved to the US in 1969. Suni was a long-time resident of Homewood Hills in Athens, GA, and recently had been living with her son's family in Comer, Ga. Suni was a member of Chapelwood Methodist for 45 years and became famous with the congregation for her legendary egg rolls. She is often remembered by friends from her work at Superior Pants Company, and from owning the bar, Oasis. Suni was preceded in death by her husband M GY SGT Wesley Baker, and her beloved son Will White. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Cathy White, grandchildren Rowan Smith and Riley Smith, her family by love: Bobby(Ashley) McCarthy, and their sweet girls Giovanna and Demitria. Suni was a very devoted dog lover and leaves behind her little dog Brigit. We would ask all that love and remember Suni to give their dog an extra treat in her memory. Suni has touched many in her lifetime and her memory will live on in our hearts.
