Sue Sue Griggs

Sang Sun “Sue Sue” Griggs, 74, of Hull, died on Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Born in Korea, Sue Sue married her husband, David C. Griggs and immigrated to the United States in 1970. Sang was a dedicated wife and mother who loved the Lord. She was a spirited woman, giving and hardworking, and an excellent cook. She loved being on the water, especially fishing at her lake house or spending time at the beach with her family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her father- and mother-in-law, Claude and Guinell Griggs; brothers-in-law Ricky Griggs and Danny Dover; and niece, Heather Howard.

Sue Sue is survived by her husband of 54 years, David Commilus Griggs; their two children, David Leon Griggs and Janie Griggs; brother-in-law Charles Griggs and James Kinley; sisters-in-law Diane Kinley, Teresa Griggs, and Ellen Griggs; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 10 at Lord and Stephens, East Chapel at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
