Sue Townsend Dyer

Virginia Sue McKinney Dyer, 70, went to see Jesus on beautiful, sunny Sunday, October 10, 2021.

Sue was born in Adel, Georgia, November 12, 1950, to Byron and Kansas McKinney. In 1953, Sue gained her baby brother Ronald, whom she dearly missed upon his passing a few years ago.

The loves of her life are her two sons, Michael and Rodney, who were so loyal and faithful to their mother all of her life.

Heaven sent Nana 4 grandchildren, Daniel, Joshua, Jacob, and Lydia who were her pride and joy.

Until her recent illness, Sue worked as a Caregiver with Visiting Angels and a Visitation Attendant with Lord & Stephens Funeral Home.

Sue had a talent for interior decorating, crafting, and caring for flowers in her yard. She always looked forward to and enjoyed traveling with her family on many vacations.

Survivors include Sons, Mike and wife, Dawne Townsend; Rodney and wife, Jenn Townsend; Grandchildren, Daniel and wife, Stephanie Townsend; Josh Townsend and fiancé, Danielle Drexler; Jacob Townsend, and Lydia Townsend; Sister-in-law, Sue McKinney; Niece, Christy and husband, Richard Fields, and children, Hunter and Heather Fields; and numerous cousins; Fur baby, Oscar, the Dachshund.
