Washington - Steve Edward Woods, 58, husband of Debra Hopkins Woods, died Wednesday, December 7, 2010.
Born in Athens, he was the son of Sammy L. Woods, Jr. and Eddie Mae Woods of Stephens. He was a meat cutter at Winn Dixie, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his wife and parents, survivors include; daughter: Amanda Woods Hogan of Washington; brother: Kenneth Woods of Stephens; sister: Gale Woods Tyner of Crawford.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at 2PM at Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel with Rev. Tye Sorrow officiating. Burial will follow at Pentecost Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Hospice.
