Stephen C. Holder, 58, died January 16, 2010.
A native of Atlanta, Ga,, he was the eldest son of the late Hoke and Katheryn Holder. He held a Bachelor of Science degree in Plant Pathology from the University of Georgia and was self employed as a software developer. Most recently, he was employed by the City of Athens as an accountant in the Department of Human Resources. Mr. Holder served for two years in the United States Coast Guard Reserves and attended University Church of Athens.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at 2 pm at the Botanical Gardens Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Barbara Greene of Daytona Beach, Fla.; six children - James, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Rachel, Rebecca and Leah; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Steve Tallent of Lawrenceville, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Clark and Laurel Holder of Douglasville, Ga.; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Hutchins, Melanie Molton, Phillip Holder, Hillary Holder, and Bethany Holder.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mary's Hospice, P.O. Box 6588, Athens, Ga. 30604.
