Winterville, GA - Dr. Stan Annandale, 54, died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at his residence. Born in Marietta, GA, he was the son of the late William Clark and Geraldine Keowen Annandale. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Gayle Vickers. Stan was a 1974 graduate of Sprayberry High School and received his degree in accounting from Georgia State University in 1978 where he was also awarded the Deans Key, was a graduate from Southwestern Baptist Seminary, Ft. Worth, TX and in 1992 he received his Doctorate from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He served as Youth Minister at Piedmont Baptist Church, Marietta, GA for 10 years and Pastor for Olive Springs Baptist Church in Marietta for 10 years. In 2000, he and his family moved from Marietta to Winterville where he was pastor at Winterville First Baptist Church until 2006. He was currently pastor at Mt. Salem Baptist Church in Flowery Branch for the past four years.
Stan's greatest joy's in life were being a father and pastor. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lynn Wilson Annandale, daughter and son in law, Amber Annandale Brown and Jonathan of Athens, sister, Valjeane Crider of Woodstock and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at 2PM at New Covenant Worship Center with Pastors Howard Conine, Beth Stephens and Paul Wade officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 at the funeral home Monday, April 18, 2011 as well as following the memorial service on Tuesday at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Smith , Dan Johnson, Jonathan Brown, Donald Chandler, Kevin Vickers, Seth Johnson and Bernie McClure. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Salem Baptist Church, 6152 Mount Salem Circle, Flowery Branch, GA 30542. Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
