Shirley Jean Teofilo

Shirley Jean Teofilo died on October 6, 2021, at the age of 93.  Born on April 28, 1928 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Remunda Gratton Benjamin. Shirley married James Teofilo on June 9, 1947. The couple had three children and raised their family in the Chicago area.
Ms. Teofilo was preceded in death by her son, James Anthony; her husband, James Vincent; her parents; and her sister, Janette Benjamin Long.
Funeral services were held on October 20, 2021 at St. Cyprian’s Catholic Church in River Grove, Illinois. She was buried next to her son at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.
Shirley is survived by her brother, Lowell Benjamin; daughters, Jean (David) Giannasi and Joan (Michael) Binder; grandchildren, Claire (Benji) Kurtz, James (Kate) Binder, Elise Giannasi (Evan Bivins); great-grandson, Anthony Binder.
