Shirley Duncan Robertson, 81, of Athens, died August 18, 2015.
Born in Knoxville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Leath and Susan Beatrice Goans Duncan and preceded in death by a brother, Wallace Leath Duncan.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. James Robertson; children, Janet Nix (Doug) of Athens, and Rev. Paul Robertson (Jennifer) of Grovetown; grandchildren, Samuel Robertson, Luke Robertson, Caleb Robertson and Leah Nix; sister, Dorothy Leath Duncan Winfrey of Knoxville and nieces, Marti Rimbault and Leath Ann Pomeroy.
Shirley was a faithful member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church. Her life was a reflection of her strong faith and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. She was a prayer warrior with a servant's heart and sacrificial spirit. Shirley died in peace and is now with her Lord and Savior.
The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens, EAST, Monday, August 24, 2015, from 10:00 until 11:15 immediately preceding the service at the funeral home, with her son, Rev. Paul Robertson officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff of DaVita West Dialysis Center, St. Mary's Hospice House, and Dr. Rebala and her office staff for their compassionate care and love. In addition, the family is grateful for the loving and kind support of the sitters from Advance Care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince Avenue Baptist Church, Bogart, GA.
