Mrs. Shirley S. Poulnot, 75, of Watkinsville passed away February 8, 2013. She is the daughter of the late Burgess William and Nellie Lou Shannon and is also preceded in death by her husband, Harold K. Poulnot, brother, Theron Shannon and niece, Debbie Lynn Shannon.
Funeral services will be Sunday, 2:00 February 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors with Revs. Chris Allen, Eugene Best and David Smith officiating. The Oconee County Fire Department will be serve as Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Interment will follow in Bearden Cemetery.
Survivors include her sons, Gregory Mitchell Poulnot, Jeffrey (Barbara) Owen Poulnot and Derrick (Pamela) Harold Poulnot; brothers and sisters, Herman William Shannon, Barbara(Dewey) Nell Henry, Rachel Biggers, Charlotte(Larry) Gayle White, Janice(Bruce)Diane Wheeler and Vickie(Mark) Elaine Gagne; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Poulnot, Jeremy Hawk, Mike Zelaesko, Greg Alliston, Tony Shannon, Terry Shannon, Mike Shannon and Larry Hammond.
Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
