Shirley Joann Davis

JoAnn Davis, better known as Nanny, left this world for her special place in heaven on May 29, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Doc and Hattie Dale. She was preceded in death by her husband John M. Davis and is survived by her 5 children, Stan (Johnsie) Davis, Cheryl (Jack) Huff, Kathy (Jeff) Weatherholtz, Greg (Jennifer) Davis, Bryan (Kathy) Davis, 10 grandchildren and 17 great - grandchildren. She loved her family and was known for her generous heart and the many cakes, pies and meals she shared with neighbors, family and friends. She was much loved and will be missed. Visitation will be Friday, May 31 from 6:00 - 9:00 at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home in Danielsville. The funeral will be Saturday, June 1 at Moon's Grove Baptist Church in Colbert at 11 AM with the Rev. Tom Dial officiating. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.Jason Huff, Brad Davis, Jeremy Huff, Cory Davis, Jeffery Weatherholtz, Baxter Davis, and Anthony Davis will serve as pallbearers. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Georgia. Lord and Stephens Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
