Athens

Sherry Kay White, a spiritual warrior for the kingdom of heaven, went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on December 14, 1946, Sherry was known for her unwavering faith and commitment to God which led her to embark on mission trips to various countries including Africa, Mexico, Poland, Cuba, France, and Spain.

Sherry was a respected, prophetic War Eagle and Mother of Nations, embodying the very essence of faith and community. Her love for people and dedication to Christian ministry were exemplary. Sherry’s personality was both compassionate towards people and fierce towards evil, creating a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Fred White; her father, J.L. Stevens and sister Joy Horn; and her children: Jason William White (Suzi), Amy Elizabeth Brunner (Brandon), and Travis Wade White (Christiana). Sherry cherished her roles as a mother, a grandmother to Kayla Marie White, Alexander William White, Jaeden Daniel White, Annabelle Elizabeth Greene, Doran Rawlinson, David Rawlinson, Jordan Rawlinson, and Natalia Rawlinson, as well as a great- grandmother to Anja Rawlinson. Her family was the center of her world, and through her love and guidance, she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire.

Sherry’s mother, Bobbie Jean Stevens, preceded her in death.

Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, Athens is entrusted with arrangements.
