Sharlyn Hope Tate

Sharlyn Hope Tate, 56, of Athens, passed away on June 25, 2022. Born on March 23, 1966, she was the daughter of the late J.W. O’Dillon and Tommy Sue Roberts O’Dillon.

Sharlyn loved fishing, camping and watching her grandson play baseball.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Keith O’Dillon.

Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Scott Tate; children, Heather Hale (Brandon), Hannah Tate (Jonathan Shuler), Aubrye Witcher (Odell); grandchildren, Ryleigh Tate, Jaylyn Hale, Matthew Doss; sister-in-law, Renee Warnick; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda & Dewitt Escoe; mother-in-law, Annie Sue Coker.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Lord & Stephens, EAST, Athens with Pastor David Smith officiating. Entombment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends the evening prior from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
