Scott Alden Shull
Watkinsville
Scott Shull, 65, died Friday March 28, 2014.
Born February 20, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio, Scott was the son of the late Fremont Adam and Dorothy Mae Shull and brother to the late Marcy Shull. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and a veteran of the Battle for Khe Sanh, continuing a tradition of service that was later carried on by his two sons. Scott retired from UHS Pruitt Corporation after seventeen years of service as an Executive Vice President. A lover of nature and an avid woodworker, Scott was never happier than when he could spend time with his sons and grandchildren outdoors.
Scott's survivors include his wife of 37 years Jennifer Shull, his two sons and daughter-in-law, Nathan Scott Shull, Adam Thomas Shull and Christy Stanley Shull. Scott is also survived by his four grandchildren Madeleine, Olivia, Deacon and Alexandra Shull.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to Silverleaf Hospice. Their kind and respectful services were a comfort to Scott and the Shull family before succumbing to his four year battle with cancer.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 5pm at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Chaplain Larry Daniel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
