Scott Michael McBride, 37, of Bishop, died on January 26, 2024.
Born in Athens, GA on September 17, 1986, Scott grew up in Oconee County and attended Oconee County schools. He played numerous sports and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Scott epitomized “country strong.” He was a down-to-earth, strong, reliable man, the guy that you called if you needed something whether that was chopping firewood, fixing cars, or comforting a broken heart. He also had a fantastic sense of humor and was lovingly known as a “goofball.” His legacy will live on in the witness of his strong, resilient, and fearless children, who loved him dearly. He is irreplaceable and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Francis P. Mullenbach, and grandmother, Mary McBride.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Wright McBride; their four children: Landon, Emma, Gavin, and Everly; his parents: Kevin and Kathleen McBride; grandmother Joy Mullenbach; grandfather Richard McBride; sister Kimberly McBride (Shane) Sandlin; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
