Scott Alexander Adams, 46 of Watkinsville passed away Monday, September 16, 2013.
"Big Scott" was born in Lake City FL. to Larry Wayne and Charlotte Arnold Adams on September 28, 1966. He graduated Columbia High School in 1984 and was a member of the "Fighting Tigers". Mr. Adams graduated from the University of Georgia in 1989, having lettered all four years playing football for the Bulldogs. He had a distinguished 10 year career in the NFL. Mr. Adams was a member of the UGA Letterman's Club, as well as national spokesman for Outdoors Without Limits. He served the Athens area for 11 years as a mortgage lender as owner and operator of Adams Lending. He will always be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, golf and the Bulldogs. Anyone who knew "Big Scott" knew him as a passionate and devoted husband and father.
Mr. Adams is preceded in death by his father. Survivors include wife; Tishara Jespersen Adams, daughter; Dyllan Sue Adams, mother and step-father; Charlotte and Bob Swink; brother and sister-in-law; Brett and Kristi Adams, nephew and nieces; Walker, Kelyn, and Kara Adams, as well as many other relatives and numerous friends.
Memorial services will be held at 3 PM on Friday, September 20, 2013 at Athens Church, 10 Huntington Road with Pastor Josh Jones officiating. Visitation will be held immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to the Scott Adams Foundation c/o P.O. Box 8 Watkinsville, GA 30677.
