Scot Reese Parr, 40, died Wednesday, July 10,2012. A native of Jackson County and a lifelong resident of Madison County, Mr. Parr was the son of Johnny Edward and Judy Ramsey Parr. He was a electrician with EIC of Athens and was a member of the IBEW Local #613. Mr. Parr was also a avid hunter, fisherman, and loved helping people.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 15,2012 at 3:00 PM in the chapel at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, East. Rev's Marion Praither and Janice Loggins will officiate. Burial will follow at Colbert Cemetery.
Survivors in-addition to his parents include wife, Patricia Carney Parr; children, Austin Scot, Autumn Grace, and Walker Reese Parr; brothers, Shain and Stanley Parr; father and mother-in-law, James and Linda Carney. sister-in-law, Sherry Wilson; brother-in-law, James Gregory Carney and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Shain Parr, Stanley Parr, Austin Parr, James Gregory Carney, Walker Parr, Brent Butler, Chip Pearson, and Bryce Ingram.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dustin Stanley, Wayne Widdon, Chuck Pearson, and Richard Pritchett.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday and Saturday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, East has charge of arrangements.
