Carlton, GA - Scherie Wheless Holcomb, 67, died March 16, 2007.
A native and longtime resident of Oglethorpe County, she was a daughter of the late Corrie and Doris Stevens Wheless. She was a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Wheless.
Funeral services will be Monday, March 19, 2007, at 2:00 PM at Sandy Cross Baptist Church with Rev. Clayton Sanders officiating. Interment will be in Sandy Cross Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, W. Paul Holcomb; two sons and daughters-in-law,
Lt. Col. Pete and Marty Holcomb of Yorktown, VA, Ross and Dana Holcomb of Lexington, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Manuel Mattox of Carlton; three grandchildren, Kayla Holcomb, Allison Holcomb and Sydney Holcomb.
Pallbearers will be Vance Mattox, Tony Mattox, Thomas Wheless, William Tiller, Kerry Holcomb and Marvin Howard, Jr.
Lord and Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
