Athens, GA - Sarah Price Talmadge, 106, of Athens, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2011.
Born in Oconee County on June 17, 1905, Mrs. Talmadge lived most of her life in Athens. She was the daughter of Hugh Hinton Price and Julia McWhorter Price and was preceded in death by her husband, Coke Wells Talmadge, and her grandson, William Rudolph Hardell, Jr. She graduated from Lucy Cobb Institute and was a member of the Athens Junior League and First Presbyterian Church of Athens.
She is survived by daughter, Lucy Talmadge Hardell, and her husband, William Rudolph Hardell, Sr., of Athens; grandson, Robert Talmadge Hardell, Sr., and his wife, Anne James Hardell, of Watkinsville; and great grandchildren, Robert Talmadge Hardell, Jr., Sarah Elizabeth Hardell, Julia Reed Hardell, and Davis James Hardell, of Watkinsville.
Donations in memory of Sarah Talmadge may be made to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, PO Box 1592, Athens, GA 30603.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Oconee Hill Cemetery.
