Sarah Sorrow, 71, died December 5, 2009.
A native of Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Willis B. and Jettie Mae Roberts Fortson and the widow of Dabney Gholston Sorrow. Mrs. Sorrow was preceded in death by a son, Roger Lamar Sorrow and daughter, Gloria Elizabeth Sorrow. She was retired from Westinghouse and of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Interment will be in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include four children, Ronnie Sorrow of Danielsville, Kathy Farmer of Ila, Karen White of Lavonia and Tammy Hannah of Hull; brother, Frank Fortson of Hull; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews and close friends.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
