Sara Elizabeth McElroy

Sara Elizabeth McElroy, 89, of Danielsville passed away on October 23, 2024. Born on March 12, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Jewel Phillips and Maude Wilson.

She was an active member of Moons Grove Baptist Church for 49 years. She was a good friend to many and had a servant’s heart. Her passions were attending church, gardening, picking pecans and spending time with her granddaughter and great granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Harrison McElroy; siblings, John Phillips, Aubry Phillips, Otis Phillips, Harry Phillips, Gurtie Alewine, Ruby Nunn.

Survivors include her children, Darren McElroy (Autumn), Alesia McElroy; granddaughter, India Crowe (Austin); great granddaughter, Hollyn Crowe; close friend and neighbor, Brenda Smith; sisters-in-law, Cherie Phillips, Paulette McElroy; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Moons Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at the church.
