Sara P. Collins

Sara P. Collins, 90, of Colbert, Ga. died Sunday April 25, 2010. She was born in Madison County to the late Redden Abner and Lucy Latty Patterson. Mrs. Collins was retired from Clarke County Board of Education where she served as manager in the lunchrooms at Fowler Drive Elementary and Clarke Central High Schools. She was a member of Hull Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Floyd Collins and her son Michael Lee Collins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 27, 2010 at 7 P.M. at Lord and Stephens Madison Chapel with Rev. James Creason officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Tuesday April 27, 2010 at the funeral home.
Survivors include her Grandchildren, Heather (Buck) Thigpen of Waycross, Ga. and Brett James Collins of Waycross, Ga. A daughter in law, Brenda (Ted) Collins Deroche of Waycross, Ga. Nieces, Kimberlee Patterson, Colbert, Ga. Melissa Patterson Meador of Middletown Connecticut, Laurie Patterson Gordon, Winder, Ga. and Paula Forman Bullock of Elberton, Ga. and a number of other relatives.
