Sandra Sexton Curtis passed away, September 29, 2021, in Watkinsville, GA at the age of 72 after a long-time battle with Parkinsons Disease and Dementia.
Born on July 29, 1949 and raised in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, she was the only child of Taulbert Van Sexton Jr. and Sara Rogerson Sexton. She graduated from Central High School (Class of 1967), East Carolina University (Class of 1971), and earned a master of arts degree in communication disorders from the University of Alabama.
She married Jesse Wed Curtis II on December 26, 1971, and they have celebrated 49 years of a faithful marriage to one another.
Residing for most of her professional life in North Richland Hills, TX - she served as the assistant clinical professor at Texas Women’s University, the research coordinator and the clinical speech pathologist at the Stroke-Center of Dallas.
Most notably she was a godly woman having pursued a relationship with Jesus Christ from the time she was a child. In her younger days, she was a part of Christian Youth Fellowship and later became a member in the First Christian Church of Elizabeth City, NC, then at Countryside Bible Church of Southlake, TX, Lakeside Presbyterian Church of Southlake, TX, and most recently at Faith Presbyterian Church of Watkinsville, GA. She exhibited the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control.
She was predeceased by:

Father: Taulbert Van Sexton Jr. (July 17, 2008)
Mother: Sara Rogerson Sexton (January 5, 2021).

Memorial Service is being held at Faith Presbyterian Church, 2191 Mars Hill Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677 at 10:00am on Monday, October 4, 2021 with Dr. Nathan T. Parker officiating. Graveside Service is being held at Oconee Memorial Park, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677- Immediately following Funeral.
