Sandra K Berryman, 66 died after more than a year long battle with cancer. Wife of Devoted and Loving Husband Donnie Berryman, Daughter of Carl Dougherty and the late Yvonne Dougherty.
Sandra was born in Columbus Ga.
Survivors include: Son Chris Davis and daughter in law Caroline Davis. Amazingly talented daughters Tricia Davis, Amber Berryman, and Brooke Berryman. Loving Sister Cindy Woody and Loving Brother, Bobby Dougherty, Step-Mother Rita Dougherty.
After graduating Lafayette High school Sandra attended University of Lafayette, and University of Mississippi. Sandra graduated with a Bachelors in Health Information Management from University of Tennessee but is still a die hard Georgia Bulldog Fan. Sandra went on to get her Masters in Business Administration from Brenau University later in life.
Sandra has lived and worked in many different places before she found her home in Athens Ga at St. Mary's Health Care System as the Director of Health Information Management. Before moving to Athens Sandra lived in Hawaii, Louisiana, Texas, and Tennessee.
Sandra was very active in the TN Health Information Management Association. After retiring from St. Mary's in 2013 Sandra volunteered with Ally Learning, a national company that records books for the blind and dyslexic.
Sandra received her Certification in Health Care Privacy and was the Privacy Officer at St. Mary's Health Care System.
Sandra and Donnie met 16 years ago and were married both bringing two children to the marriage. Sandra and Donnie together built a house in the country but a home for their four children and many, many animals.
Sandra loved to travel and fill life with adventure. Sandra loved the water and the mountains and most of her getaways took her to those places. She had a love for golf and wine, when she could combine the two in a weekend getaway with friends or family she did. Sandra loved to play cards but bridge with the ladies in particular. She was an avid reader.
Sandra was a confidant and mother to many not just her family and has touched the lives of a great number of people. These individuals are better for knowing Sandra and her passing will leave a big gap in their lives.
Services will be held at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home East Saturday, March 29 at 11am for family and friends. In lieu of flowers Sandra wished to have donations made to St. Mary's Hospice. https:/www.stmarysathens.org/about-us/foundation/donate
