Athens, GA - Gertrude "Sally" Davis, 91, died March 27, 2007.
A native of Mt. Hope, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Perry, and the widow of William Nelson Davis. She was a former member of Mount Hope Christian Church, where she was a bible school teacher. She was a member of Eastern Star Winolia Chapter #59. Locally, she was a member of Campus View Church of Christ.
Survivors include her only son, William Rodney Davis and wife, Joyce; granddaughters, Debra Davis Strickland and husband, Mike of Watkinsville, Carrie Pasquale and husband, Mike of Hattiesburg, MS; grandson, Dr. Charles Nelson Davis and wife, Julie of Columbia, MO; a very special nephew, Ronnie Perry of Mt. Hope, WV; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 20, 2007, at 1:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST, with Mr. Tom Plank, minister, Galilee Christian Church, Jefferson, GA, officiating. Entombment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Friday from noon until service time at the funeral home.
