Athens - Ruth Catherine OKelley, 73, died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at her residence with her family at her side.
Born in Madison County she was the daughter of the late Brady and Willie Mae Harris Smith. Her brother Richard A. Smith also preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of Colbert Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Greg Allbritten, Winterville, sons and daughter-in-law, Lecil and Marcia Sorrow, Colbert, Richard Sorrow, Athens, Brian OíKelley, Athens, sisters Jeanette Web, Myrtle Beach, SC, Judith Wiggins, Carlton. Also her beloved bird, Andie.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at 11AM at Colbert Baptist Church with Rev. Irwin Goss officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her sons, son-in-law, brother-in-law, James Wiggins and family friend John Porter. Burial will be held at Colbert Cemetery.
