Athens, GA - Zelma Ruth Lord, 88, died June 12, 2009.
Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Odell and Zebell Benton Lord. She was retired from Kroger and St. Mary's Hospital and was a member of East Athens Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 2:00 PM at East Athens Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Wuerzer officiating. Interment will be in Berea Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include her brother and sister in law, Roger and Dorothy Lord of Athens; nephew, Ben Lord of Athens and great nephew, Garrett Lord.
The family will receive friends the church Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Athens Baptist Church Building Fund.
