Ruth McFall Frame, 92, died May 9, 2009.
A native of Frederick, Oklahoma, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Mabel McFall. She received her Master's Degree from Peabody College in Nashville, TN and retired as a well respected member of the American Library Association. Mrs. Frame was in charge of libraries for the military in Germany and the Philippines and was involved in many speaking engagements around the world in connection with the American Library Association. She enjoyed traveling the world both professionally and for pleasure. Upon retirement to the Athens area, she continued her organization of libraries in the communities where she lived.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Survivors include her cousin, Danny (Kay) Etter of Athens and numerous other cousins. Mrs. Frame was preceded in death by a cousin, Dorothy McFall Etter.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Library Association General Endowment Fund, 50 East Huron St., Chicago, IL 60611.
