Runette Payne, 97, died June 11, 2009.
A longtime resident of Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Martha Grizzle Butler. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Arthur S. Luke and Willie A. Payne and stepson, Milton Payne. She was the last of nine siblings. She was a member of Bogart Baptist Church and was active in the Oconee County Senior Citizens Organization.
Funeral services will be Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Interment will be in Bogart Baptist Church Cemetery.
Survivors include two stepchildren, Ray A. (Patricia) Payne of Bogart and Annie Beth Barton of Watkinsville; step daughter in law, Dorothy Payne of Bogart; five step-grandchildren; eleven step great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Memorials may be made to Bogart Baptist Church.
