Ruby Alice Parrott

Athens, GA - Ruby Alice Parrott, 86, died December 29, 2013.
Born in Greene County, she was the daughter of the late William Joshua and Estelle Benton Parrott and was preceded in death by her twin sister, Grace Parrott Floyd.
Ms. Parrott was retired from Sears Roebuck. She was an avid gardener and lover of birds, a curious reader and loved to travel.
Survivors include her sister, Edna Parrott Talton of Gainesville, several nieces and nephews and several grand nieces and nephews.
The family would like express their appreciation for the caring bedside support from her friend of 65 years, Emily Porter and her son, Woody.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, December 31, 2013 beginning at 11:00 AM followed by an informal service at 11:30. Rev. James Gale will officiate.
