Dalton - Ruby Campbell Hodges, 93, died December 27, 2007.
A daughter of the late Jim and Beatrice Campbell, she lived in Dalton, Georgia for the last 4 years. She was the widow of James Newton Hodges, to whom she was married for fifty-eight years. She worked side by side with him as owners and operators of Yonah Vista Restaurant in Cornelia, GA and also two other restaurants for over forty years. After retirement, she and her husband voluntarily cooked for various organizations and churches in this area. She was a member of Winterville United Methodist Church for many years and will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 29, 2007, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00PM until service time.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara and Jim Barnes of Waleska, GA; grandchildren, Karen Whittle, Kim Capers, Kathy Johns, Jennifer Brogdon; two stepgrandchildren, Holli Henley and Noel Barnes; fourteen great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
