Ruby Virginia Bingham

Ruby Virginia Drye Bingham, 84, wife of 63 years to Donald Lee Bingham, died Monday, June 17, 2013. A native of High Point, NC, she was the daughter of the late Moses Chrisenberry "Chris" Drye and Elizabeth Clodfelter Drye. She was a Registered Nurse and homemaker. Survivors in addition to her husband include; daughter: Joan Bingham (Chris) Clark of Athens; son: John Daniel "Danny" (Carol Becker) Bingham of Fredericksburg, VA; brother: Jerry Drye of Trinity, NC; sister: Daris Bullins of High Point, NC; grandchildren: Kevin (Michelle) Clark, Paul (Amy) Clark, Megan Bingham (Josh) Davis, Alicia Bryson; great grandchildren: Abigail, Ethan, Mary Kate and Charlotte Clark. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Robert H. Bohler, Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the funeral home. The family would like to express a special thanks to her caregiver, Carol Slay as well as the staff of Arbor Terrace and Compassionate Care Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Presbyterian Church, 380 Alps Road, Athens, GA 30606. Lord & Stephens West is in charge of arrangements.
